Appeal in Kent

Can any one shed any light on the appeal process and timescales in Kent this year please - in these different situations
a) if the headteacher review was done but failed
b) if no head teacher review was done

[edited by moderator).. I note for next year's (2010 entry) applicants Weald are going to retest those who appeal.

Weald do not place a lot of faith in 11+/SATs results (wisely!) and routinely retest all girls accepting places before they enter the school, including those who apply for entry further up the school.
For appeals to be tested too should be a really positive thing for those unfortunate enough to find themselves in that stuation - a second bite of the cherry?
