Hi everyone

Congratulations to everyone whose children got through! Great news.

I am in the same position as I have been with all my girls - borderline scores. My first got 118 (failed appeal) my second 2 years ago got 119 ( successful appeal) and now my third daughter today got 120!! (and 119). I can't believe it! Have been to see the Head today who will fully support our case so here we go again:(
She was ranked 10th in OOS and 2:2 - not as good as daughter 2 who was also 10th but with a 2:1 however with such high scores I feel I must go for it.

Speak to you all soon

I'll be with you every step of the way LTM. - In exactly the same position except one of my three is a boy, and that we did two appeals for DD1 last year, so we're now on to the fourth! (DS appeal - successful, DD1 appeals both unsuccessful)

Good luck, am about to send off the appeal documents this week, so keep me posted about your progress, and I'll do the same

All the very best

Thanks bougalou
Some of us parents just don't seem to get an easy ride of this 11+ nightmare do we??

I have woken up this morning feeling very down and ache all over with the stress of this process. It is on my mind constantly which is very tiring and depressing. Luckily my daughter has bounced back with no problem after being so upset yesterday - so I have to try and keep my spirits up for her. I'm sure I'll feel better over the coming days once I've got my head round it all. I just can't believe I have to go to see that appeal panel for the third time knowing that just "one more point" would have saved all the trauma of the coming months.
Never mind, I am grateful for this site and the wondeful help and advice from Patricia, Sally-Anne (huge congratulations!) Etienne and everyone else - Thankyou to you all- you got me through 2 years ago so fingers crossed for this time

Speak soon

Ana x

Please note that there has been a change to the OoS procedure this year. You can see the details here:

http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... php?t=7464

I would discuss this carefully with the Head to find out how he drew up the OoS this year, and what happened to all the children above and below your child. (No names of course!!)

I hear that the panel members are absolutely furious about the change, because they found the old system helped them very strongly in sorting out the stronger cases from the weaker ones.
