btw, have made an official complaint to the County Council, and have not decided whether to pursue a statutory appeal yet. Will wait for additional evidence to arrive from Primary school first.

I think you have done exactly the right thing, Bouga.

This was an LA Review process, and you have complained to the Local Authority.

More often than not I would expect their response to be "Well, if you're not happy, you can go to appeal," but you have pre-empted that by making clear your concern that the process should work properly for children in future.
