Extenuating circumstances...

Post by Phil »

My son has moved schools quite a few times, ie year 1, then at the end of year 2, then after 2 terms of year 4 then finally at the end of year 4 ( although this was within the same school, just moving between sites) I am planning to use this disruption as part of my appeal...are there any comments from people regarding this...?

Does anyone know of any papers that have been written on the subject?

Thanks

I can see that this sort of disruption might affect progress in the curriculum. It could help explain any level 4 predictions.

Be ready for the question "Why would it affect reasoning ability in the 11+?" ......

he has predicted level 5's...hmmm...what now!!?? oh dear. I just thought it would have had an effect on his overall education and therefore when he took the exam he was and still is playing catch up to get to where he would have been...?

If that makes sense..
