Well...thank god its over..but I have to say the panel were very easy to talk to and we were even laughing...!

So, I was 1hour 10 mins late going in...

Read my appeal...I will post it on here if im lucky in being succesful..basically I took the line of, I will answer their questions in my speech...right or wrong know will know..

They asked afterwards 3 questions from each

Did he finish the paper?
Did you look around the G schools?
Which one did he like?
How much do you think the extenuating circumstances effected him?
A question regarding a paper I quoted reagrding moving schools to much(specific to my case)
The lady from the council asked about his recommendation and asked did I ask about why the 3 with 119 so I told the truth saying that the HT couldnt give him anymore as he only got that in year 5. She said (quickly interupppitng one of the panel) heads do things different ways.
Another question was regarding his French Horn.
Another regarding what did he want to do later in life

Hmm..might remember more as they come to me..but only me in there...then I left his books..the few I had...and that was that.

They were highlighting things as I read my stuff...umm...think thats it for now..

Another one remembered...

How did he find the practice papers?

I said he enjoyed them, as they were like a game like doing sudoku..(think thats how you spell it)

Hi Phil

Thanks for posting details of your experience - it really helps us all still waiting to go to our appeals. I still have another week to go and every time I think of it I feel sick. I just want to get it over and done with now and move on from having it hanging over my head since November.

I really hope your appeal is successful - won't be long now till you know.

Good Luck to everyone still waiting......

Ana

Hi last time mum,

It really wasnt a bad experience..the panel were very nice and friendly..i felt very much at ease. Still doesnt make you feel it went well or even trying to second guess what they thought...
