Do I use the CATS Scores?
I have been reading this forum for a few weeks and found it very helpful,
we have our Bucks appeal on Monday (snow permitting) and have 1 question as we finalise our presentation.
I have had my childs CATS scores and not sure if they are good enough to include.
11+ test scores: 119/115. Predicated SATS: All Level 5.
Cats scores as follows:
Verbal: Raw: 70 SAS:117 ST:7 NPR:87
Quantitative: 55 119 8 90
Non-Verbal : 50 106 6 66
If anyone has any idea on this, would be appreciated.

Interesting that the CAT VR is the same as the average of the two 11+ scores. It's quite a good score in national terms (87th percentile) but there is a risk that a panel might think it confirms that the 11+ results were "correct"!
Generally speaking, assuming you have a choice in the matter (quite often the school will have entered the result on the headteacher's summary sheet), I suggest not including CAT scores as part of your evidence unless the VR is at least 121, and preferably in the mid-120s.
Exceptionally, I think it would still be worth submitting CATs if a VR score below 121 were offset by a very high Q or NVR score (upper 120s).
That's just my view.
