Mouse Trouble

We are struggling with the trackball on my computer... is it possible to select answers and navigate questions using the keyboard or is the mouse mandatory?
I have tried A, B, C, Ctrl-A, Ctrl-B, Alt-A, Alt-B, F1, F2, !
