OP, will you be able to take and collect your DC every day if you don't find a car share before term starts?
It does seem rather late in the day to be looking at transport - when you applied for a place, was there a school bus route available, which has now been withdrawn?

OP, don't take umbrage. If you post on here you may not like all the replies you get but stand back and think if they are useful, or help you make decisions. There are people on here with years of experience and knowledge who will give you considered responses to any question. It's a discussion forum.

Also as regards the children not getting on/falling out it is wrong to say it is the same on a bus where there are 56 seats your child can sit in (allowing for bus 'hierachies' about which years get which seats!). I had a friend who had a lift share arrangement which ended up making her child very miserable as she was subjected to VERY subtle bullying and undermining by the other 2 girls in the car - the mum even had no idea when she was doing the lift share - and it caused no end of upset. That child had NOWHERE else to sit. In the end she broke the car share arrangement and things improved dramatically.
