Can anyone post the link to buy the art pack for year 7’s please? I have lost part of the pack we were sent and I remember one of the letters saying we could buy the art equipment online to be ready for them to collect at the start of the year.

Hi

Has anyone seen a Facebook page for the PTA or a parents group for RHS at all?

Haven't seen one. They use the ParentMail app and the PTA seem to use that for sending outbound messages.

That's a shame, i have loads of stupid questions like:

It says prodominently white trainers, does that mean no colour at all or can they have a bit of colour?

What do they take in the first day, just the bag with pencils or do they need PE kit aswell?

Mad I know but relevant for my H who keeps asking me

Predominantly means “mainly” or “mostly” so if they expect pure white trainers then they are using the wrong word! If they expect you to bring in PE kit on the first day then, again, they should be specific about this!

The white trainers thing is nonsense. Last year I spent an age and a fortune on pure white trainers. When I mentioned this, they casually said oh we should have updated the kit list. DD1 confidently assures me most girls have colourful trainers (and she is a stickler for rules). You just need non-marking soles (DD1 is going in to year 8 and will have trainers that are not white, DD2 going in to year 7 will get her sisters hand-me-downs). They also need studs, DD1 plays football so already had blades and I didn't buy an additional pair. Said pair will now go to DD2.

Day one - take a pencil case, a decent sized bag and money and / or packed lunch. At some point you will need to provide a padlock for their lockers.

They won't need a PE kit on day one.
