School acceptance mails

Post by Mr Benn »

Just wonder if anybody else in Worcestershire has accepted their School place by email ?

We did on friday - but havent had any response back yet. I did state I wanted an email just as confirmation of receipt.

Not sure where to phone for confirmation ?

Perhaps a call to Worcs LEA Admissions?
Followed by a call.to Warks admissions, if you.are accepting a Warks school.place.

I got thru to the Worcestershire Hub . They confirmed they had received the email .
I asked them why they hadnt replied to it :
Them - "we dont usually send out confirmations "

Me -But in such an important matter, where if a confirmation of acceptance is not received you can lose you a place , dont you think you should acknowledge receipt with a somple email ? And I asked specifically for a receipt

Them - ' I will pass it onto the team '.

Is there no end to the total frustration this whole process takes :(

That would seem like a simple solution I agree. It's little things like that that make all the difference.
Maybe follow up your call with a letter outlining why you think they should send confirmation emails?
You're through it now. Well done!

I sent an e-mail to the school of our choice
Sent the letter of acceptance to the local LEA
sent an e-mail to the local LEA (asked for a receipt and got it from them)
Rang the local LEA that the letter of acceptance that had been posted had been received by them

Not OCD at all......

We phoned and confirmed.
Then posted the acceptance letter to them
Then phoned again 2 days later to confirm they have the correct school accepted (got them to tell me which one I accepted as further confirmation).

Doesn't hurt to be overkill with this important matter :D
