Congratulations to all those that passed. Unfortunately my son only made it onto the waiting list and we were originally told he was number 12. We understand that there are places at KES in case you appeal. Does anyone have a feel for how the waiting lists move (if at all) and what are the chances if you are on the waiting list of wining an appeal? You can only get on the waiting list if you are within a certain points threshold he missed automatic qualification by 6 points.

The school officially has 75 places to match the girls grammar school but the previous head informed prospective parents that he has space for 84 and the additional spaces might be awarded by the appeals committee.

We know the 2nd on the waiting list has been awarded a place.

Does anyone know when KES writes to the parents after places are confirmed?

We have a place found out today so pleased. For any future parents who are reading this we went from 12th to 18th to 5th on waiting list. A real rollercoaser but got there in the end with no appeal
