11+ to be sat in Sep and results known by Oct half-term
Not sure if everyone is aware of this have been covered already, but what does everyone think of above? (Aside from having to spend Summer hols cramming)
I also hear that Warwickshire grammar schools are probably going to increase their pupil admissions number.
Strikes me as good news if you live within priority catchment and don't want to spend the best part of 6 months biting your nails waiting for the result.
Biggest losers probably independent secondaries who, for years, have made a tidy £sum in forfeited deposits come March.
Any thoughts?

Ah, thanks. Still a wait then, although with a better idea how you've done.

It means if your DC hasn't got more than the minimum requirement you can fill in your CAF more tactically

It seems that the Warks consultation process has ended and the date set for tests this year is 8 September.
Considering that so many children (particularly those in Solihull and Bromsgrove) will wish to take both the Warks and the Birmingham consortium tests, this seems to be a pretty massive oversight.
The dates for 'Supplementary date for 11+ Testing for
children who cannot be tested on
previous dates for religious reasons or
who can provide appropriate written
evidence of previous engagements or sickness'
are TBC at 15 and 18 September.
I forsee a lot of problems in both tests, as a significant number of children will obviously have to take one or the other 'late'.
I only hope they're not exactly the same test

There is a bit more timetable info on the Warks Gov website now, compared to last time I looked. Results will be released by 13th Oct.

I know we get the score but do we get the child's position too? Otherwise it is not much use is it?
