Hi

We're complete novices to these 11+ exams so please bear with us.

Any advice on the exam day would be very much appreciated, for eg where to park, where to take your child etc etc.

We've had the arrangement forms & have have tried to telephone the admin office to clarify but to no avail.

So if anyone can please give any pearls of wisdom for what to do on the day it would be very much appreciated.

Kind regards

We took exam 2 years ago at Studley High School. Arrived earlyish, parked car in school car park which was nearly full, went into school and joined queue for registrating children. I would imagine most schools will have adequate parking as it is a saturday (where is your DC taking exam?) Warks very laid back in that we were allowed into hall where children would be sitting. We found their seats as their names and pictures were on the desk. Children had been allocated desks in rows by school they attended so the child in front and behind were from the same school but not those to the side (unless there was more than one row of DC from the school). We were asked to leave and DC took their seats. We arrived to pick them up at the time stated. Not much point beng too early as you would have to hang around waiting so we went home and did some gardening (every five mins I would say "I wonder what they are doing now?"). They took a bag with snack, drink, pencils, rubber etc but seem to remember the school providing them with pencils.

Hope this helps and good luck to your DC. In one week from now it will all be over! Koala

...in which case you won't be able to park at the school! You may find it's necessary to bite the bullet and pay for parking in one of the local car public parks. There's a large one by the leisure centre and it's a reasonably easy walk to the school from there.

Did a dry run today - parking is VERY limited around the school.
I have looked at the parking arrangements on the Warks sheet & it does state that parking is possible at the school.
I think we better set out fairly early on the day.
Thanks for the replies.

My son is at KES - I would park in the multistorey car park and walk up if I were you. My other son is sitting it at Shottery on Sat.
