Do all schools follow the same syllabus in year 7?

I have 2 children, one in year 10, one in year 9. My ds, now in year 10, went into school in the grammar stream, and did different work to my dd in the non-selective stream in year, Incomparable, hers was much easier, in less depth, and different topics.
However, comparing the work in the grammar stream and top stream (they are different!) at the selective school, they appeared to follow the same syllabus as friends' ds' at the gs.
Do year 7 follow the same syllabus, whatever school they are at?
