Hello,
Please could someone advise me on bus routes to Alcester from Warwick or Stratford?
We know there is bus 26, but is there anything else?
We are planning to move from Kenilworth and it would be very hepful to know where the bus routes are.

Thank you in advance!

May be you're right. I know that's why I haven't replied so far. :?

I have to say we didn't consider Alcester because there didn't seem to be a direct bus service. Our DS can get from Warwick to Stratford on the No.16 or the X18 (in emergencies if he misses the 16), so you may be able to get another bus from Stratford onwards, but it would be a horrible journey everyday. Have you tried getting in touch with Stagecoach or WCC?

Sorry I can't be anymore help.

Got my helpful head on today!

Just googled buses from Warwick to alcester and Johnsons school bus service came up. Goes from Gaydon to Alcester, so this might be what you need.

Jus looked again and there's also one from hatton to AGS as well.

Might be worth looking on Johnsons website to double check.

Thank you VERY much for your help!
Johnsons bus service and the Warwickshire map together give the most comprehensive picture.

Looks like, if we want to avoid long bus journeys, we have to consider just Stratford :(

PS hope this info will help others in similar situation.

Hi,

Have you tried this transport planner:

http://www.transportdirect.info/Web2/Jo ... tingloop=Y" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

or this one for the Midlands?

http://www.travelinemidlands.co.uk/wmti ... anguage=en" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've tried every way to try to work out how to get to AGS from the south east corner of Warwickshire - inlcuding train to Evesham and then a bus...but all to no avail...in south Warwickshire all road public transport leads to Rom...er Stratford!

Johnson's 140 from Barford or 139 from Hatton Park is about as close as you get to a bus from Warwick - but they're both an hour+ each way and unless you're already in Barford/Hatton Park, you'd still have to add on travelling time to get to/from the bus stop.
