Scores for each section?

Do we know if each section of each paper is worth the same amount of marks? Or if they differ, and if so, are they the same each year or does that differ iyswim??? Are you still with me?

Just pondering, as DS found some sections more straight forward than others ...

Cheers,

JD

It's not each paper, it's each of the question types, aggregated across the two papers. i.e.
Verbal Reasoning, Non Verbal Reasoning and Numerical Reasoning are standardised seperately, and then the 3 standardised scores are added together to give a total.

This means that although the number of questions in each section may be different (e.g. a typical maths question will have a longer time allocated to it than a typical VR question, and there will be fewer questions overall, but each will have a bigger influence on the total number of marks.

e.g. in the 2012 test the maximum raw (unstandardised) marks available on each section were
Verbal Reasoning 111
Numerical Reasoning 42
Non Verbal Reasoning 32
but each section had equal weighting for the final result.
