Numbers applying this year

Does anyone know what the numbers sitting the 11 plus are like this year for Warwickshire. Lots of talk on the grapevine that there were unprecedented numbers applying this year. (Hence admission office late in sending out familiarization papers and the postponement of the results by a week). Any solid info rather than rumour gratefully received.
