Re: bus pass to Ashlawn if place via MFL not 11+
Don't talk to me about bus passes! We live 2.9 miles away by the "nearest walking distance" from Ashlawn, our local school, which involves walking down a path which is so overgrown, it is impassable. Also, I wouldn't want my dc (apart from my ds1 who is over 6 foot tall) walking along it as it is in the middle of nowhere, and would be dark in winter.
By road the school is over 3 miles away. However, my dc cycle along the cycle path which keeps them fit (and moaning) and try and scrounge lifts whenever it looks like rain.
Maybe I should photograph the path and send it to the LEA or whoever to prove it is impassable. Even the dog walkers avoid it.
It would be good to have the option of using the bus, without paying £330 a term. Sorry, I have no idea about the MFL entry and bus pass. Good luck.
