Anyone else been this morning? DS has opted for piano, but wants to put bassoon as his second choice!!! Music teacher was keen and said he had an aptitude!
All I can think is how many times I'll be visiting the Stagecoach lost property office when he's left it on the bus

I think the bus company will notice if he leaves a piano on the bus
.
Seriously, we have collected a PE kit 3 times and violin once from the bus company. They are used to it. Also be prepared to visit for several evening concerts throughout the year: I think we have been to 4 or 5 already and have the end of year concert coming up - and DS is still in year 7. The standard is very high and the music teachers and peripatetic teachers are great. Mrs Madden is a particular star, especially for string players. I hear good things about Mr Henderson too.
I am sure your DS will enjoy it.

Thanks ChilledDad - he managed to leave a pair of socks, a towel and one shoe in the changing rooms yesterday, so I think me and the lost property man will soon become good friends
I'm assuming they'll find out what instrument they've been allocated in Sept now - unless DS has forgotten to pass on that particular piece of information ...

You may wish to check, but from memory if you put down a second instrument your DS will do both, rather than one being a first choice and one being a second choice.
If your DS is likely to lose kit: anything lost at Manor Road is kept in list property at Manor Road. They can mpg therefore easily recover it until the next games lesson unless they make a special trip.
