I do not have much knowledge about this school. But many treat this school as the best secondary school in Rugby (rates above the other two Grammar schools).
Head Teacher salary is a different issue to the performance of the school. It matters more why this school is rated so high! If it is true, the leadership team deserves some credit.
Controlling the high salary is a common issue across all organisations. But simply escalating it may damage an outstanding school. If the performance drops, only the people in Rugby will be affected. No media...no blamers.... will come to the rescue of the school.

People speak about Ashlawn 2 only because of Ashlawn 1. If there is no Outstanding Ashlawn 1, Ashlawn 2 will be like any other ordinary school.

Good luck to the Ashlawn School and students...

I don't know why she might be in "big poop" however this has been widely circulated in the press and shared with parents.

Rumour has it that she has a new kitchen that was not paid for out of her salary  (if you know what I mean), a bit of financial mismanagement has gone on and she was escorted off site by the police. I was told this by an Ashlawn parent but not sure how true it is. Her salary was probably also an issue, it is an outstanding school and she undoubtedly played a large part in achieving/maintaining that, shame that it has all been ruined by unnecessary greed.

Yes figure of £60k has been banned about and the info.came from within the school. Hence why she is no longer at the school and possibly looking at prison for such a thing and so why if money is not being siphoned off and assuming the new head does not get her salary then ashlawn 2 may be more likely.

With a savings of 60K building a new school is no starter.

Will the departure improves the performance of current school or will it have a negative impact. May be parents or anyone with inside knowledge can comment on it.

New school is more of a commercial decision these days. If the academy can make profit, they will go ahead.

I've got a child there and know some of the staff who work there. In my opinion, the senior staff at the school are fantastic and really care about the students so hopefully they will carry on doing what they are doing and the school will move on from this.
