Mistake with Children from Solihull applying to Warwickshire
Not sure if we are the only people to have had this experience.
We placed a Warwickshire Grammar School as our number one choice, we live in Solihull area and made our second choice a local secondary school. Solihull advised us on results day that our first choice was refused so we accepted our second choice.
When we received the paperwork from Warwickshire we were shocked to realise that our child had indeed achieved higher that the AQS needed for the Grammar school we had selected. After 4 phone calls and an email I was advised that there had been 'a problem with the data exchange' between Solihull and Warwickshire. We were promptly given a revised offer. I hope no-one else suffered this problem, but would recommend that if it looks odd, query it.

Re: Mistake with Children from Solihull applying to Warwicks
This has happened in previous years - Solihull "forget" to tell Warwickshire that you have applied - but, as in your case, it is sorted quickly. You would think they would learn by now! I hope it goes well - what school is your child going to?
