Parent Portal advice

Having a wobble about pressing the wrong option on the parent portal! I have accepted our second choice at the comprehensive school but want my daughter go on the waiting list for her first choice grammar school. From earlier conversations I thought this was automatic but next to the school there is an option entitled waiting list, do I need to select this? Sorry, it’s probably extremely obvious but I’m questioning everything at the moment. Many thanks in advance.
