This year the KES AQS is 240, 6 points higher than last year.

There is generally some movement from the waiting list from children declining places, usually in favour of private school offers.

I would suggest you speak to warwickshire school admissions firstly and ask for their advice on applying for warwickshire schools and the waiting lists.

I've sent in an FOI request towards the end of the week asking for the ranked scores so hopefully this information will give those waiting on places a better idea of the situation - how many kids are on each score etc. It normally takes about 10 days for them to respond.

Thanks @ nervousmom and LJandCJ, I will call Warwickshire today to know the waiting list and admission process. DS scored 244 and would like to know the waiting list position.

@ nervousmom Thanks. Submitted application through the local council, the score is good but he is lower in the preference as not living in the school priority area. Hoping for the best.

It looks like some new ROI responses have been released- lots of interesting numbers and data to look at! Hard to make a direct correlation between WL places and the data, but it is interesting. It does say that 84 spaces had been allocated by KES this year. Maybe to balance the 90 from last year?

As an aside, I have heard of children in Solihull LA that got above KES AQS but were not given spaces on March 1. Definitely a potential pitfall of the cross-LA process..
