It is a big jump, I thought the 2020 jump would have been bigger than the 2021.

Not all were offered at 240. Your DS will go on waiting list. Did you put AGS as your second choice?

Haha, yes AGS second. We loved the school but its a bit far from Leamington. He wanted to list it though as his good friend was doing the same. His friend will be on the waiting list for AGS. I wonder if there'll be much movement. Can but wait and see.

I think there will be quite a bit - I think many more will have looked into the private school route this year as a “back up” because of the ambiguity surrounding the test and whether the later testing session would be an advantage or disadvantage. It seems that we now know the answer is it was an advantage!

I also think there will be plenty of movement this year. I think people will be looking to the private schools as they appear to have offered better learning during the lockdowns, and I think this will sway more people to take their offers.

Warks must be really wanting to ease the pressure on the phone lines on Monday morning because they've also posted the general breakdown of offers for high schools as well!

We are looking at Rugby High School. Can I ask whether we get to know the 'spread' of results - i.e. where our children sit - top / middle / bottom? My daughter scored 226 and I was interested to know whether the bulk of scores sit around 220-230 or below. I know that we have access to the minimum scores but interested to know if we see the full set of scores? Do we know what the top scores tend to be? I have no idea what a 'maximum' 11+ mark is! Thanks

Generally that information is not provided, however it may be possible to request under the Freedom of Information Act.

There is no maximum, as such.

The scores are standardised and 200 is always the average score.

As you move either down from this or up from this, the scores thin out I,e the higher the score, the less children will be on that score.i hope that makes sense?

Take it that 200 is the mean and the standard deviation is 20. This gives the Bell cur e to enable you to calculate the percentage in each standard deviation. A bit mathematical but that is how the marking works.
