I don't know, but do you think they may give scholarship students a tougher report - so that they don't rest on their laurels/keep on toes etc..?

They are certainly tougher in some areas but I have witnessed the quality of work and exam results. Part of his problem is that he thinks he knows it all, switches off and then a month later realises he's missed some key facts! :roll:

IT - Area for improvement...

'To honour exam conditions when finishing tests ahead of rest of class'

It turns out he was surfing forums.... which apparently is not allowed.

:oops:

PE - ****** enjoys being a spectator even when he is part of the team. :roll:

I would love to be able to write really honest reports - I think that children would soon behave better if the message wasn't so well disguised... :mrgreen:

I'm afraid I always tell it exactly like it is! That's what parents evenings are for, aren't they, to discuss the report that parents have received.

Aged 6:
Singing: "She tries hard"
Aged 8
Mathematics: "This subject still appears to be a mystery to Alex"
Aged 13/14
Headmistress's comment: "Alex's academic success should not make her forgetful of the social virtues"

My father:
Aged 14/15
"Position in Class: 1st"
Headmaster's Comment: "Could do better"

Son:
Prize at Prizegiving day for outstanding Sports achievement
6 months later Report:
PE: "M is working at a level below the national average"

Daughter:
"E has not co-operated with the testing procedures this year. It is difficult to assess her progress"

Teacher's comment at parent's evening: "The psychologist says she is of superior intelligence . At times I ask myself - superior to what?"

Daughter 2 (twin):
Aged 5:
"I has very firm ideas about the activities she enjoys pursuing"
Daughter 3 (twin):
Aged 5: (different class)
"A has a highly individual approach to her learning"

As long as mine never get one like my Lower 6th report - no punches pulled there :oops: , but then it wasn't my finest hour.
