My son is the same unfortunately - nowhere near as conscientious as his sister was at the same age.

He lost a brand new Berghaus coat within days of starting year 7 - it never turned up even though it was labelled. He has left his DS on the school bus, however luckily he is one of the last off and the first on - so it was still there on the Monday.

Mr Yoyo was terrible as a boy. His mum used to take him to school and point him in the direction of the classroom in the hope he would get there with all belongings.

We went on holiday and he left his bag in a cafe, we trecked right a cross the town, retrieved bag and had a cup of coffee. Then walked all the way back to campsite only to find he had let his sunglasses in the cafe.

I have lost count of the number of cameras he has lost and just befpre work it is usually a panic as he runs round convinced his wallet and keys have gone astray.

Unfortunately Master yoyo seems to have inherited this trait. Came home from Rugby in year 7 with a rugby shirt which reached past his knees and one sock which was at least a size 12. Managed to lose those taking them back.

Looking for things is a whole other saga with DS2.

Always misplaces things, but when looking NEVER EVER will he look under other items; just skims the surface. And ALWAYS where will it be? Under something else! He still hasn't learned to look under things.

Quite simply infuriating!

Son, the organised one  , has just phoned to say he's lost his phone case.
"That's OK," I say, "Doesn't matter, it's only a phone case."
"Yeah, well, it kind of had other things in it..."
"Like?" (heart in mouth)
"My disco ticket!"
I reassure him about the wretched disco ticket. Then it's
"And sort of my bus pass and my locker key and maybe £5."
Give me strength. The bus pass alone was ... £740 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they'd better. Typically, DS1 is stressing about the £4 disco ticket.
Hmm, now I come to think of it, what a crashing waste of money that was!

Good to find he has the same priorities that my offspring would have.
Theirs is such a small world
