My nephew has the opposite problem. He is and always has been very tall and now at 19 is 6ft 6. Growing up he has always been very self concious about his height and has said he was teased about it a great deal at school.Another nephew had terrible problems with other kids about his very red hair culminating in him having to change schools after being bullied badly.
Seems a shame there is pressure on children to look like everyone else.

is there any link between foot size and height? DD (12yrs) feet same size as mine already and nearly as tall (above ave), but maybe it's just early growth, whereas boys' growth spurts (feet and height) seem to be later - i think

Foot size & height: my brother is a broad & beefy 6' 5'' but his feet are only a size 8. It's a wonder that he doesn't topple over!

I wonder if I am the only stupid person to misread that as 'he has always been very tall and is now 19ft 6. I thought, 'gosh, that is tall...'

Hi
My daughter is 11 years 6 months , 127cm tall and weighs 3 stone 11, which puts her on 0.4th centile, where she has always been.
She will be starting high school in September and by law, will still be required to use a booster seat! How embarassing! Lucky her birthday is mid September, as once 12 years old she doesnt need to use one!!!

Yes, have just re-read my post and have phrased it a bit weirdly
Was in a hurry when I wrote it. He is tall but not quite the 19ft giant you were imagining :D
Not sure but weirdly may also be spelt wrong! :?
