He got me a spare battery, a card and a case, alot more prepared than he usually is

The Lumix is meant to be really good, I am sure you can get the instructions/manual as a download form their website?

Yes, I downloaded the manual before I went away and printed off one page which I needed - the whole lot is 157 pages long

My search will go on for the hard copy

My camera is now charged so off for a walk in a bit to try it out!

Not long received a call from my OH saying he's booked me some ski lessons, whoo-hoo!!

Hope you are having a fabbo birthday!

Enjoy the new camera, I love my Pentax Optio so much I love to stroke its brushed steel body every now and again! Digital is brill, I couldn't go back to film.
