Cambo's speech

Post by T.i.p.s.y »

Hope the Lib Dem's accept. 16 million voters to Labours 8 million - balanced and fair and the best of both worlds...hopefully!

Lib dems really much more leftie than labour in many areas. Do you think it will work ? (Conservatives 2 million votes more than labour he said - after 13 years in opposition.)

Gordon has to go - but not yet as we need a leader until this sorts.
For me this is so much better than a Conseravtive majority.Hopefully Clegg will reign the Tories and keep some compassion in Govt.

I expect and hope they won't - the two parties are poles apart, and it cannot work, no matter what either of them say. I don't believe the lib dem party will fall for it, even if Clegg agrees in principal
Sorry CM, posting at the same time. For me also, I'd prefer a Conservative/Lib Dem pact than outright Conservative majority, but I don't see how anything will be done, nor can I see how anything will get done with a minority Tory government, just more confusion

It would be wonderful for me - as I am a Lib Dem at heart but have a Tory head!

Liberals have always wanted full proportional representation / STV etc - Cameron will never offer that

agreed! very very different.....

Lots of people vote LD because they can't quite bring themselves to vote Conservative or Labour but they know that most iof the time there is no chance of the LD getting in.
They rarely read the manifesto ....

The last time this happened the incumbent only stayed for 4 more days.

It could be longer this time but has to be resolved by May 24th, after which Gordon Brown will no longer be PM.
