Just caught up with this post and voted yes, even though my DC are utterly useless at Music.
Perhaps, as the front page is very "busy" there could be one heading of "specialised subjects" which then splits down in to specific subjects eg Music, sport etc. The info given would still be appropriate for 11 plus exams as both grammars and indies can offer places to those DC talented in one area. IMHO just as useful as info on results, travelling times etc etc.

As I log on here I can see I could almost have a casting vote as there is a 50-50 split;power!

I think your idea is good sp - I have noticed (because I am a linguist) lots and lots of languages posts, and I know there are science ones too, so it would seem a bit odd maybe to single out music (unless we are talking scholarships, but then there are sports and art ones too, and occasionally drama).

I am also unqualified to make the following remark but will do so anyway - maybe there is room for amalgamating some of the other topics to make more index space, eg 11+ exams/11+ experience/general 11+ topics and EE/typical 11+ parent, that kind of thing. With a new renaming exercise afoot in the DCSF/DE, perhaps there is an argument for following suit. (OT - glad the ridiculous rainbow has gone. Too much like CBBC)

That said, and the reason I said it with caution: the moderators are volunteers and any restructuring would mean work for them, and have gathered that those who invented the site want to see it remain tightly on the subject of 11+.

Is there going to be a 'report' button, whereby when spammers or offensive posts are made a button can be pressed (like the pm button) which immediately alerts any one of the mods who are about at the time?

not sure exactly what will be included but that has been suggested, as you can imagine it is a huge undertaking..

Could we go one step further and have a button to report people, and once pressed a hand comes out of the screen and slaps them around the face........or am I asking a little too much :?

Why stop at a hand coming out with a good slap CM ?

Could it not come out, pour a nice glass of chilled white, mark a couple of verbal reasoning papers and then cook a nutritious and interesting supper using one of the recipe provided by one of our team members.
