When will play resume? I only managed to watch part of the Roddick game yesterday or have I missed their continued play already?

They are third up on Court 18 - I think they said this morning it would be after 3.30.

67 games all

How much more of my life do I have to spend watching this match?

What will happen when the score reaches 100 - 99? Will the scoreboard blow up?

DS2 thinks the players will have long beards and grey hair by the time it is all over!

Phew! 70-68, and Isner wins. I feel so sorry for Nicolas Mahut. Just a couple of slight errors and a winner too many from Isner.

I have a feeling there will be a tie-break in the fifth set from next year ...

I thought the presentations were a lovely touch. Mahut just wanted to get the heck out of there, but in time to come he can look back on being a part of a truly one off, record breaking match.

I think this will be the case, I expect the fear a tournament could last for 6 months if this happened on a regular basis will ensure that they make rule changes. However let's not forget last year's gripping final between Roddick and Federer which went to 16 14 in the final set, I'd have been disappointed by a tie break there.

I see Mahut was out again playing doubles this evening. How he could get out there again is beyond me

The prolonged fifth set is a very rare event - few go on beyond 20 games altogether. I hope they don't change things.

I think when they first brought tie breaks in (at 8-8 initially) it made the game less exciting - always seems to lose a set on a tie break...

Me too Herman...I was gutted when they changed it, now you can have a really tight fought match ending 7 6, 7 6, 7 6, which when you say 3 sets to nil, sounds like a whitewash but in reality its 2 points per set. I prefer randomness, and excitement myself, which when there was none of this tiebreak business, you got more of.
Ooooh I love tennis, it is sooo good fun :D
