Changing the time...

Post by hermanmunster »

If your posts are on BST still instead of GMT then click

"user control panel" - top right just under book shop

then "board preferences" on left hand

then "GMT" under the time zone

then "SUBMIT"!

This works when I am logged in, but just browsing the form when I am not logged in shows the time in old money. My computer is set to the right time. Could it be that someone in mod land or even programmer land also needs to change something?

I haven't got anything that says User Control Panel... Hmph.

It does say that 'All Times are UTC'. Is that okay? I don't think I've ever changed settings or anything. Maybe my computer is clever and has done it all by itself these past couple of years. :D

Belinda I had to log in to get user control panel. However like Amber when I logged in it was correct but when logged out not!

Ausvic, thank you - so it does - silly me.
I think mine seems to be okay. Unless someone tells me I'm in Siberia I'll leave well alone cos I might break something.

Just posting here to bring it to the top again - when I am not logged in the time is still wrong on here. My computer tells me the right time so not my internal settings; also BBC website is OK.

Thanks for posting that Amber, I thought it was just me and assumed it was because I had missed some ridiculously simple procedure, but was too afraid to ask.
