Archers - State v indie
Just a note to say that Archers message board is on to 300 replies in a boarding/state/indie squabble.
I do not want to upset anyone here but it IS fictional!
Just thought it interesting.

I was wondering what the heck you were on about, then realised you were talking about 'The' Archers - on the radio? Am I right?

Yup - there's another thread about it here that gives you the link: http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... 31&t=16171
The Archers has been going for how many years and it has taken them this long to get on to the topic of school choices?

No, there was a spat a few years ago over Shula's son Daniel (now at Felpersham Cathedral School) and over Pip Archer (went to Borchester Green comprehensive in the end - Phil was keen for her to try for a music scholarship to Felpersham Cathedral I think).
Sorry, I need to get out more.

Yes, the Archers on the radio. One does have to be careful as regarded as real by some people.
SA - state v indie reared its head about 7 years ago when Phil offered to pay for Pip to go to (?) St Margaret's (indie) as a music scholar. Soon knocked on head by parent ideals and sib jealousy.
Not that I know about it myself...
Fascinatingly inflammatory though, even in fiction realm.

Gosh, I just followed the link in the other thread, it's a whole new world out there, isn't it - so much going on, a whole website just for that
I suppose they'd feel that way if they came across to our boards and read our discussions though!

aaargh, Peeeeep. I knew there was another reason to loathe The Archers. Soap Opera children are vile and Pip is the vilest of all.
