Those vampire films - the Twilight ones, what age?

Post by rubyhettybetty »

DD1 has read 3 of the books and loves them, but should I get her the films? She will be 11 at Christmas...

Will keep the 7 yr old away from them, obviously...

Yeah, I wouldn't go much younger than 11 - 10 at an absolute push.

As for upper age limits, well .............................

DD has seen all three and says that fine for 11 year olds. She says there is no swearing or unseemly intimacy (my translation).
Her 7 y o sis also likes twilight and new moon and has watched both on vid repeatedly. She watched them with her sister - as she has the scarier H Potters - and I think this helps.

Mine went on a birthday party in Y7 to see what must have been the first one and found it fine. He's a bit ghoulish though.

That reminds me of a quote on the back of one of the Georgia Nicholson books my DD read when she was 12. I also read it and loved it... the quote said something like: "Perfect for 12-year-olds and their sad 40-something mothers"... I couldn't agree more!

Present company excepted, of course Floss!

If you have any doubts, could you borrow from library to watch?

My 11 year old has watched them and loves them, she read all the books first, don`t know if this prepared her.
She is NOT a fan of Primeaval.....it scares her!!
