Erm give them to unsuspecting visitors once I've given them too much Pinot Grigio and stolen their bank account details :D

I think we can use them in our family ok, but you know, there was a certain amount of fear in not getting any, and my sons in particular (girls not in the least interested) kept egging me on and on  Apparently this is a once in a lifetime opportunity, so I may just have got a little teeny weeny bit carried away.

.. bit like the chap on the radio who was determined to get some tickets for a kids birthday or whatever - his total was £36,000.... he is an insolvency practitioner!

Still no money gone from our account. I'm getting worried now.

Has anyone had any ticket money taken yet?

I think they said it could take several weeks for money to be taken, so don't give up hope yet!

Looking forward to the party :D

I understand you can legitimately buy tickets from Europe at face value for all olympic events. Makes the whole thing even more farcical.

Thanks Hermy and Scary :D After 16 years, we thought we'd finally tie the knot

It sounds about right that other countries can get the tickets more easily than we can!

No, we can buy them as well - European law. There's a list of official ticket suppliers on the LOCOg website, this is the German one - easy to use, pick your preferred sport or venue on the left, and what seems to be a very good English translation available:
