Thank you, please keep your recommendations coming, so far looks like quite a few parents rely on and trust the Letts series. I still remember the old Letts Revise "O" level guides - thinking back, I'm very impressed at how they condensed quadratic equations onto 1 page in a way that is easily understood after I worked through it, even though it seemed like the teacher spent ages teaching it.

Belinda - About being one step ahead - what do I need to do and how do I do that? :?

Yes - I'm trying to get DD reading lots (and away from the TV!!). She's only just starting reading independently.

BTW - diverting now, but what books are/were your DCs reading towards the end of Year 1?
