Re: Mouth breathing, tongue thrust, orthodontic problems
Well, I've got a daughter who talks rather a lot.
Re: Mouth breathing, tongue thrust, orthodontic problems
Well Scarlett you must have been reading your Buteyko method books as one of the things it suggests to encourage nose breathing during sleep is cutting away a hat that ties under the chin so that it is not too hot. No 1 most effective method is to watch the child while asleep and keep on shutting their mouth; it helpfully acknowledges that this method is quite tiring after several nights with no sleep so the hat is second best.

I suggest a camp bed and cattle prod.
Re: Mouth breathing, tongue thrust, orthodontic problems
Not a bad plan. Am shopping online now. Do you think the 11+ store stocks a cattle prod?
Re: Mouth breathing, tongue thrust, orthodontic problems
For the reluctant learner perhaps.

Quite a long way to go for braces, but the top man does have an impressive bouffant hairdo.
Re: Mouth breathing, tongue thrust, orthodontic problems
I'd travel a long way for a glimpse of that hairdo, worth every penny of the air fare.
