Not long now...

Another failed escapee:

New maid who Lord G kissed - resignation refused.

However, there was a maid who successfully become a secretary in series 1.

Its the last episode until the Christmas special, and the third series which will be set in the 1920s.

My dearest sister, Lady Scarlett,

I'm so thrilled our dear Mama , the American-heiress-Lady-with-the-dodgy-accent-who-is-actually-American-but-married-an-Englishman-in-real-life-and-lives-in-London, did not succumb to that dreadful Spanish floozie.

But poor Lavinia :( , she was a sweetie. She didn't deserve to die. Damn you Sir Julian Fellow-Chappy-Writer.

Sunday nights will seem so empty now. Roll on the Christmassy special.

Good night Lady Scarlett,

Mwah mwah,

Lady inky x

My Dearest Sister, Inky,
We have lost a treasure, the sun of our life, the gilder of every pleasure, the soother of every sorrow.

I am, your affectionate sister, Scarlett.

I am very unhappy.I find my maid has jilted me and hired herself with you.I have had to dress myself this morn.I do find however, a wig much improves my looks.

I thought Cora would die, not Lavinia, as that would make it too simple fro Matthew to marry Mary. However, the broken heart twist has nicely continued the will-they-won't-they scenario for a bit longer.

At one point I thought that Thomas had poisoned Carson's milk as there was a very long camera shot of his tea tray, so I thought Carson may die.

Didn't quite see the point of the Lord G/Maid affair.

Anna and Mr Bates (does he have a first name?) wedding was sweet.

I didn't know the chauffeur was called Tom.

Sunday nights are going to seem very dull now. Roll on the Christmas special!

Mr Bates' first name is John and I too thought that Thomas might be 'up to something' with Carson's drink!

Apparently Lady Sybil and Tom (chauffeur) are together in real life as well as on screen.

DH thinks that Sir Richard will marry Lady Edith (not quite sure why he thinks that) but I still think that Lady Mary will eventually marry Matthew Crawley. Can't wait for the Christmas special.

I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do on a Sunday evening now. Might have to resort to talking to DH

I can't believe how cynical you all are about Thomas! He's a very misunderstood man who acts only in the interests of others. Poisoning drinks - I ask you!!

Also loved the wedding. Poor Anna, she doesn't have much luck does she?

Sir Richard and Lady Ethel? Could be. According to Pheasantchick's theory he won't be going anywhere anyway

I've also noticed that Ethel has flutted her eyelashes at Sir Richard.
