Fifty Shades of Gray

Has anyone read this book, and what are their thoughts?

Nope, not read it and I'm sick of hearing about it.

I'm led to believe (from what others have said) that it's poorly written, but I'm not interested enough in it to find out if that's so. There are much better books around waiting to be read I'm sure

Nope, haven't read it. I was intrigued enough to read the blurb on the back cover - it seems to be a case of 'woman chases man'. An inferior Mr Darcy with a gimp mask, if you will. Just not my kind of dirty!

I eventually gave in and tried to read my daughter's copy having bought it for her while wearing dark glasses and a ginger wig in case anyone I knew saw me, that is where a kindle would have come in handy.

Absolute rubbish. I am sure there are some **** bits in there somewhere but after wading through 50 pages of appallingly written nonsense I gave up.

I cannot recommend more highly "Bodies " by Jed Mecurio for ladies of a certain age looking for **** bits, with a rollicking good medical drama in between if the **** bits are a bit too steamy.

These days I find nothing in a book seems in the least titillating. I'd rather read the newspaper.
