KS1
hi,
i've taken a look some KS1 papers and i cant believe how difficult they are !
i have a son who will start year 1 this year, so that will mean he would be taking his KS1 in say 2 years
at the moment he knows his alphabet , is getting to grips with his phonics, can count and write up to 20, and is currently learning basic addition and subtraction. Also english is not the primary language spoken at home, so his vocab etc is below average
can anyone tell me what sort of level he should be at currently ?
am i just worrying over nothing as kids of his age start to pick things up quickly
i have to say all this teaching has been mostly done at home - i'm not impressed with his nursery, but i suppose they like to give a varied education
