Unfortunately, not good for the economy if those who would prefer to leave and work/pay taxes are forced to stay on. Because people are living longer these days, there will not be enough taxpayers to balance the books with the increased numbers claiming pensions. Making people fund a private pension will address this issue. Wait a minute, isn't that what this government is proposing - every child to put their tuck money into a pension plan, rather than spend it on sweets? Before you know it, there will be a black market in tuck sweets; run by those forced to stay at school beyond 16.
