Please tell me Amber if my ladder thing is a nuisance, I really won't mind removing it    It could be deemed a bit 'in ya face' iykwim. Tbh the moving ones kind of don't do it for me, more distracting from what I am trying to read and I like calm, and tranquil.

Please do say though if the ladder has to go, really do :)

Mines going in a few days.

Have never seen anything flashing on here though ............. except these

I am not a fan of the tickers, but they looked interesting so I gave one a go.
I guess a lot of people will find them annoying (sorry for mine  ).

Alternatively, if anyone knows how I can disable them when I am logged on...?
Did you manage to disable these in the user control panel as Herman suggested?

If anyone wants to remove image/animations etc. (I think this link will work) http://www.elevenplusexams.co.uk/forum/ ... &mode=view" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

If not you'll have select -
User control panel (top right of the screen) -> board preferences -> edit display options

Set all the following to no

Display images within posts:
Display Flash animations:
Display smilies as images:
Display signatures:
Display avatars:

Finally, click submit. That should fix all your troubles.

You don't flash, SJD. It's the flashers I can't deal with.

Haven't tried tbh mitasol...will do so later. Thank you. If it really does fix all my troubles I will be one happy bunny. :D

I'm surprised the word 'flasher' got through the mods - thought it may attract the wrong sort of attention!

Thanks, works well. I'm just miserable and I'm happier without, tickers, flashers or similar. I like the quotes though.
