My laptop (Mac) is doing something strange. An email that I sent to a friend on New Year's Day is reappearing in my sent box with me as the recipient hundreds of times. I've just deleted the whole lot but I'm still receiving them. I know that by tomorrow morning I'll have another 50-100. Any suggestions?

This rings a bell & I'm not sure why. Quick google brings this up. Don't know if it helps?

If it was on windows I would suspect some malware, have you tried changing password?

I had to change it a few weeks ago because my phone was stolen and I had my password on it .

The email was originally sent from my 'new' phone, only it's not new. I discovered it was a refurb when I was putting in the battery. I don't know if there's a connection.
