Re: Lets get reading ! your childs favourite books.
DD has been really enjoying "Anne of Green Gables" this has lots of fab and old vocab. With her Easter money she bought the "Angel" series, her first step into fantasy, has anyone else's DD read these ?
It occurred to us that the comprehension passages are most likely to be from classics and so she is planning to read some in between her other books. She recently read "paws & whiskers" by Jacqueline Wilson which included lots of extracts from some classics giving a nice flavour of what is available.
Happy Easter !

Gosh, I love this thread, I can keep going back to it for new ideas. DD and DS have now completed the David Walliams series and loved it. Muddle Earth next for DS and DD also still enjoying the Anne series, Anne of Avonlea next.
Any more suggestions welcomed They are reading mad at the moment, DS & DD couldn't put the David Walliams books down ! more like that would be great, fab humour.
