Staying and helping others

Every year people 'disappear' as soon as their child gets a GS place.

Why don't you consider giving back to the website and staying around?

There are KS3, GCSE and University sections, so your journey is not over ...

I have stayed - DD is in yr 8 now and there is plenty on here of relevance now and in the future. It will be options next year
Plus, I was really helped by more experienced people on this forum and would love to be able to help someone new.

Same here...you can't make me go away....bwahahaha!!

DD1 (now 20) left GS two years ago and is now at uni...so I look at the uni section.

DD2 (now 17) is at college after leaving non-selective school...the appeal section was so useful, with helpful info that I used to get her into a school that could help with her special needs.

DS (9) in year 3 and finds school a real struggle, so no hope of Grammar....Primary section useful though.

The 'word association' thread in the Rehab section is compulsive ....so I will be here for a few more years!!

Don't seem to be able to leave whether I want to or not...

Seriously though this forum is extremely useful for so many things beyond the 11plus. I hadn't even heard of it when my children actually took the exam.

I'm still here and can confirm it's opened up options for DD at university (she starts later this year) that we'd probably never have explored if it weren't for the forum.

Really should wean myself off now...!

There is a thread called "The Hotel California" in Rehab for a very good reason: "You can check out any time you want, but you can never leave ..."

(I notice that G55 has just bumped it for its 8th birthday!)

I'm still here! Reading on a regular basis and occasionally posting :D

I could not have gone through the last couple of years without this valuable site. You, Sally-Anne and Etienne have been a great support.

Options next year and I have already lurked on the GCSE forum and I am sure that I will be around for a long time yet!
