Forum downtime

Post by Sally-Anne »

Hi everyone

Sorry the forum was down for a couple of hours around lunchtime. Apparently the hosting company "upgraded" their software and it proved to be a bit flaky.

Hopefully there shouldn't be any further problems, but we can usually contact the site owner or programmer pretty quickly once we spot a problem.

Hi All,

I apologise for the downtime and the inconvenience it has caused. As Sally-Anne mentioned we authorised server software update and one of them failed. This only affected the forum and shop part of the website which was unexpected. Once again, we are sorry for the downtime and will try and be careful in future. Thanks.

Regards
Programmer.

Technical updates have unexpected consequences once in a while. Thank you for letting us know what happened and for getting it up and running again swiftly. You provide free access to a very helpful forum; most of us appreciate that.
