Did anyone get their free BBC microbit?

Post by BucksBornNBred »

I seem to remember schools had to register, so not sure ours did, but just wondering how everyone is getting on with them and if DCs are having fun :-)

DD2 brought one home - it was placed on the mantlepiece...and is still there.
DD1 refused to take Computing Gcse much to DH's disappointment (He is a software developer). Think DD2 will also be a disappointment.

What a shame - seemed like a good idea. I had hoped DS would get one, though his may well have ended up on the mantlepiece too (except when I got a chance to play with it!)

Ds2 opted for computer science GCSE instead of German much to DH's upset. He says each lesson is a challenge but it is fun.

DD brought one home and is really not interested in it. DS was slightly jealous but he has his raspberry pi, he is also taking GCSE computer science which he says are great fun as well apart from the programming lesson as he is way ahead of everyone else in the class.
