I am hoping against hope that she realises that the previous Home Secretary ought to go too.

Re Hunt - the sight of his cheery smile would surely lift the spirits of the Windrush people who have been denied health care, wouldn't it? Bit of continuity in the people p***ing on you at least.

Chris Grayling, perhaps? He's had a go at a few cabinet jobs and a very fine job he's done at all of them, too.

He was certainly being suitably weasel-worded on Radio 4 this morning...

I'm in London today and all I can hear is a loud scraping noise coming from a barrel.

Liz Truss's tweet:
Saj is effective, no-nonsense and brave. Most of all he is an optimist about the future.
I wonder how optimistic he is about how long he'll manage to keep the role?

Maybe he will take an example from his boss and just dig his heels in, grimace - aka 'smile' and carry on regardless. It is outrageous that Rudd has had to go and May is still there saying 'oh I do understand why you had to resign, darling Amber...' when she knew just as much, if not more, and was also instrumental in it.

Liz Truss's other famous words:

Oh, and is this really meant to be satire? (read to the bottom Loobylou)
