Broken iPhone screen

DD dropped her phone this morning and the screen has several cracks. She can still use it but it looks ugly and I think it's quite sharp. It's not insured. Does anyone know the cheapest way to get it fixed? Does £100 sound about right (Timpsons)?
Thanks.

When DD did this she used Timpsons. I think it was a bit less than that (maybe £80) but it was a couple of years ago and we aren't in London.

I am so glad our phones are now included on house insurance - maybe worth checking? I recently got a new one delivered to the house after the microphone stopped working; DS1 ran his over with his car last year and got a new one too (well, I think they are reconditioned but they do come with a 1 year guarantee). We didn't even have to have registered the phones ahead of the claim.

Wow, that was quick! So grateful. How long did they take to fix it?

Maybe an hour or so. I think she left it there and went shopping and when she got back it was done.

When ds did this he was planning to have it fixed but in the end bought a screen cover and lived with it for the next couple of years. It was surprisingly ok and saved him money..

Glad to hear Timpsons offer screen repair. Also that house insurance can cover replacement. Another option is iSmash. Their pricing is based on phone model. DDs iPhone screen repair came to about £60. Sometimes they can do it in 30 mins, sometimes overnight (DD's phone has needed more than one repair, sadly).

We have found the older style plastic screen covers work well with keeping cracked screens going. The popular glass screen protectors seem to be less useful with a compromised screen.

Book-covering film works well at holding screens together :) .
