You surely cannot think that following someone's twitter page will offer the unbiased truth

In what way are serious reports in the Washington Post and the Guardian - as examples - 'soundbites'? could you illustrate what you mean? Isn't it Twitter which offers 'soundbites'?

Washington Post and The Guardian offer an opinion of a quote - surely you realise that, as you are not ignorant (unlike this oik 'ere) ? A twitter feed may not be the truth but it is from the "horse's mouth" so to speak. So it is the actual words that were written in context, not a spin by a reporter who needs to file a report to get his paycheck... what part of that don't you understand? Seriously?

Re soundbites. How many news programmes/online papers show the full video? That would be a soundbite (or maybe another word is more appropriate), but they certainly never show the whole interview in order for it to be taken in context. Please don't get me wrong... Trump may be making mistakes but I will not rely on second hand information to make a decision on that.

Following his Twitter feed does increase the likelihood of finding no redeeming features though. (If you needed it. He sounds like a complete d**k from the press articles and he sounds even worse from this own mouth).

I agree his tweets are infuriating - but it is from the horse's mouth and not second hand biased "gotta file 500 words" reporting. I disagree with the sounds from his own mouth as I love his voice (no politics involved, I just love the accent - can I at least have that before I am torn apart? We were asked for a redeeming quality and that is the one I have offered - I don't care if it is The Trump, or Judge Judy, I can listen to the NY accent all day long).

It was funny... someone who has taken so much stick for not being able to dance to then do that, shows she has b**** (even if they were provided by her PR team) Why can't anyone give anyone a break any more? Why is the world so nasty now?

Well as a general point maybe I would agree - but she is our Prime Minister not a member of Pan's People* and many of us believe she is taking our country to the brink of ruin so jigging about like that was perhaps a bit unseemly. Put it this way, if I had already made an idiot of myself trying to dance (and this is entirely possible) I would not be keen to do it all over again on national television when I was meant to be giving a speech.

And wouldn't 'our' very own Bucks Fizz (ABBA rip off) have been better than a European (gasp!) group for such a spectacle? What was their hit called - Makin' your mind up? Classic (ahem), though maybe not quite up there with Dancing Queen.

Also - and I'm totally agreed with the "taking our country to the brink of ruin" statement - do we really believe that that suggestion was made by someone who had her best interests at heart? I don't mind how much of a fool she looks - but she did look a fool, it wasn't funny and I bet BJ was rubbing his sweaty little paws with glee.

I hate that all our politicians 'play to the the people' nowadays (along with the royals) but she still had b****.

You are showing your age, but I will show mine by saying I would have preferred her to come on to "Save All Your Kisses For Me" by Brotherhood of Man (an earlier UK Eurovision winner and, yes, I can still do the dance! ).

Also, as an aside, the highlight of my year (so sad) is the Eurovision Song Contest, though I don't enjoy it so much now that everyone sings in English. Just because one is anti (the current/future vision of) EU doesn't mean we can't love the glorious diversity of Europe (or maybe that should be the individualism of the countries of Europe).
